Gellis plants 100 trees in Niger, Africa, in partnership with Treenation
Gellis takes social responsibility TREEmendously seriously and that is why it launched a competition to help combat climate change.
Last Christmas, together with our magic tree seasonal greetings, we offered everybody wishing to participate the opportunity to contribute to the creation of a park of 8 million trees in Niger, Africa. For this purpose, an online competition was opened in cooperation with Treenation, an Internet social network, with the objective of fighting desertification, climate change and poverty by planting trees.
The contestants were invited to go to our website and look for the hidden virtual tree. Once they found it, a real tree was planted on their behalf. They could also locate it on a virtual map and follow its growth.
